So what is Super Chat?
Super Chat enables viewers to connect with you while watching your live stream on YouTube. Their message will get highlighted in the chat stream so it stands out from all the other chat messages. The more a viewer spends, the longer a Super Chat will remain at the top of the chat feed.

For example a $2.00 payment will be highlighted in blue, a $5.00 highlighted in green. Super Chats will remain at the top of the stream for up to 5 hours, which gives more airtime to your messages.

What are the requirements for Super Chat?

• Your channel must is enabled for live streaming
• Your channel must be monetized
• Your channel must have over 1,000 subscribers
• You must be over 18 years old
• You must be located in one of these currently listed countries. Most English speaking countries are listed there such as the United States, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc
• Super Chats can be viewed on YouTube, your computer, YouTube gaming or your mobile app.
• Unfortunately they are not supported on mobile browsers.
• You can make a purchase from your computer, or from your YouTube mobile app.
• Unfortunately purchases on IOS are not currently supported.

How do you earn money from Super Chat in Live Stream?

• From people purchasing a Super Chat so their message gets highlighted in the live chat stream.
• From Adsense ads displayed on your video so long as you’ve enabled monetization on your channel and on your live chat stream. The longer your live video is the more ads get displayed, which earns more revenue for YouTube.
• From people subscribing to your channel after finding your video via search in Google and YouTube. You can follow up with them by promoting affiliate products, or your own products.

Here’s how to Enable Super Chat on your YouTube channel

• Sign into your youtube account on your computer
• Go to your features page on youtube.com/features
• Under super chat click enable then follow the on screen instructions
• When super chat is turned on for your channel your viewers will see a dollar sign in the live chat stream.

Here’s how to turn Super Chat off

• Sign into your YouTube account on your computer
• Go to youtube.com/super_chat
• Click the gear icon
• Click turn super chat off
• Click disable
• Unfortunately purchases on IOS is not currently supported

Keep in mind your super chat message, your channel icon, and your purchase amount are visible to the public.

Here’s how to purchase a Super Chat

• So basically you click the dollar sign
• Click SEND A SUPER CHAT
• Then you can move the slider to whatever color or amount..value that you want. You also have the option to enter a message
• Just click BUY AND SEND
• Fill out your credit card details and then click SEND and you’re ready to go
• When your transaction has been completed your message will be sent to all viewers in the live chat.
• A receipt will be emailed to you as a record of your purchase.

Once a Super Chat is purchased, a countdown timer will display the remaining time for which your Super Chat will be pinned to the ticker. Keep in mind there will be no refunds after you’ve purchased a super chat. It’s possible the creator may end the live stream before the time on the ticker has been completed.

How do you track your revenue from Super Chat?
You can view them in YouTube Analytics under Transaction Revenue Report. You’ll get your money in the same way that you receive money from your AdSense ads.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

• You could make few hundred dollars depending on your audience and how useful the information is to them
• Super Chats do not transfer between streams
• All chat messages are erased after your live stream ends therefore encourage viewers to post their comments under the video after the live stream has ended.
• All chat messages are subject to moderation so spam messages can be blocked.
• You can view all your Super Chat purchases by going to youtube.com/super_chat

On their official blog, YouTube announced to their over 1 billion users that they would be introducing Super Chat. This was a step to help YouTube channel holders to make money in a better way (as they say).

If you don’t know, Super Chat is a replacement of Fan Funding, a way that viewers used to donate to the creators.

In 2017, it joined advertisements (ads), channel memberships, the merchandise shelf, and YouTube Premium Revenue as one of the ways of making money on YouTube. This article is going to guide you on how to enable Super Chat on YouTube.

How To Send A Youtube Superchat

How does SuperChat work?

SuperChat connects content creators (owners of channels and video ‘uploaders’) with the fans. It works during live streams where those who are enjoying a live stream purchase a highlighted message. This message is given extra space and becomes so conspicuous so much that it is seen by everyone who is part of that live stream. The messages can remain highlighted for up to 5 hours.

As of 2019, SuperChat (and Super Stickers) had been made available in at least 60 countries all over the world. YouTube continues to grow this number to help creators join in on revenue making. The SuperChat enables your viewers (live stream ones) to donate to your channel.

To use SuperChat, you need to have met the following criteria:

1. You must be in a SuperChat-supported country.
2. You must be having at least 1000 subscribers.
3. You must have enabled monetization (For this option to be activated, your channel should have been viewed publicly for at least 4000 watch hours in the last 12 months. Also, you should have at least 1000 subscribers).

How To Send A Fake Superchat

Here are the steps to enable SuperChat for your channel. These are meant for desktop’s or laptop’s (Window, Mac or Linux) since it cannot be done through the app.

1. Open YouTube’s website and make sure that your Google account is activated by logging in. YouTube should open and show its latest video updates.
2. Click on your profile’s icon at the top-right corner.
3. On the menu that displays, choose ‘YouTube Studio’. If this is not there, click on ‘Creator Studio’. You should now be open to the dashboard of your channel or the creator’s studio screen.
4. If you have met the threshold for using a SuperChat, click on the ‘Channel’ button that is on the left side of the screen just below ‘Community’.
5. Under ‘Channel’, click ‘Status and Features’. On the right side of the screen, a list of features will appear.
6. Find the ‘SuperChat’ feature. If you are eligible, you will see an ‘Eligible’ label on the bottom-left side.
7. Click on the ‘Enable’ button which is on the bottom-left side. The ‘SuperChat’ signup screen will be displayed on the right with the ‘Commerce Product Addendum’ showing (this is more like the ‘Terms of Agreement’ page).
8. Now, enter your ‘Full Name’, ‘Title’, ‘Email Address’, ‘Phone Number’, and ‘Company Name’.
9. Check the box that confirms that you have read the ‘Terms of Agreement’.
10. Once you click on ‘I Accept’, a message will float at the top of the screen saying that you have successfully enabled SuperChat on that channel.
